Most visitors ask the same first question: is a driver expensive? In Georgia the answer surprises people, because the price is for the whole vehicle and your group, not per person.
Day rates
A private minivan with a driver and fuel starts at $88 a day for the whole group. Longer trips cost less per day, which is why our packages work out cheaper: our 5-day trip is $573 for the group, the 7-day is $737, the 10-day is $975 and the 14-day is $1,227.
Split between four people, a 7-day package is around $26 per person per day, including the driving, the fuel and someone who knows where to stop.
Transfers
If you only need a ride, prices are fixed per vehicle:

Driver or rental car?
A small rental car in Georgia often looks cheap online, around $40 to $60 a day in season. Then come the extras: full insurance, a deposit held on your card, fuel, parking in Tbilisi and the risk of damage on mountain roads.
The bigger cost is the one you cannot see on the invoice. Georgian roads are narrow and mountain driving takes concentration, so the driver of the group spends the holiday watching the road instead of the view. With a driver you also skip the parking hunt, and you can change plans halfway through the day.
Renting makes sense if you love driving and are staying in one area. For families, groups and first-time visitors heading to Kazbegi, a driver is usually the better deal and always the calmer one.
What is included and what is not
Our prices include the van, the driver, fuel for up to 200 km a day and a driver who speaks English and Arabic. They do not include hotels, meals, entrance tickets, cable cars or boat rides. We are happy to suggest hotels and book them for you.
How you pay
You do not prepay online. You can pay your driver in cash in GEL, USD or EUR, by bank transfer to our Georgian or European account, or through a secure payment link. You book, then you pay when you see the service.
